Trois-Rivières Campus

The Trois-Rivières Campus of the University of Montréal offers since 2004 a complete medical curriculum for continuously expanding classes of about forty students. The degree course lasts 4 or 5 years, depending on the nature of previous studies. The preparatory year is provided at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, following special inter-university dispositions. Then, the doctoral training, identical to the one given at the main campus in Montréal, counts 2 pre-clinical years at the teaching building of the Centre hospitalier régional de Trois-Rivières (CHRTR) and 2 years of clerkship done in the regional hospitals and affiliated centers. IFMSA-Québec is present on the delocalised campus, especially by projects organized by students such as Sexperts, Fiers et en Forme and OSMOSE. Moreover, numerous cosmittees are active in Mauricie, spanning subjects like public health, sexual health and human rights, without forgetting exchange committees allowing students to experience a clinical or research elective abroad.
